Missed Connection

Rush hour was hectic. Countless bodies shuffled together, with feet beating the pavement and voices layering on top of the last. The sound of the city always kept it’s tune, but it’s tempo picked up in the evening. It seemed forgivable for them to pay so little attention to their eyes meeting, even if for a fleeting moment they both smiled at the thought of each other.
