CLEVELAND — “As you may or may not know by now; I ‘work’ at a retro toy store in this wonderful city of Cleveland, Ohio. I don’t spend my time there for money but for toys rather. Yes, that’s right, I help them in exchange for toys and memories.
I have decided to start collecting Simpsons figures from The World of Springfield with this payment, it was a hard decision for me between Simpsons and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fact I started going after TMNT but they were a bit pricey and I didn’t bring many home each week. So after only three weeks I gave up and switched over, and I could not be happier about it. Don’t get me wrong, I played with TMNT as a kid but I never really had a huge connection with the toys like I did with say G.I. Joe. (a toy line so insanely large I do not want to even start that focus for a long time) But The Simpsons are perfect. Anyone my age and younger or older loves The Simpsons so these toys were a good fit. But take into account how fantastic they are I, again, couldn’t be happier. The shows artwork was made to become a plastic sculpture and Playmate Toys really stepped up to the plate. So take a gander at the humble beginnings of my collection which will soon enough be over 200 guys and 20 sets.
My wife is gonna hate the size of this at some point but my daughter is gonna love it.”
